Avatar Books Brickell, Ozzy, Mars Volta Email this article

New York, NY (September 21, 2004)--Edie Brickell recently recorded in the Neve 8068-equipped Studio A at Avatar Studios, with producer Charlie Sexton and engineer Brian Scheuble. Producer Mark Hudson also worked in Studio A, doing overdubs for Ozzy Osbourne's latest CD, with engineer Bruce Sugar and assistant Peter Doris. And, Elliot Scheiner also booked the A room, to record Renée Fleming for Decca Records.

Meanwhile in the SSL 9000-equipped Studio B, engineer Rich Costey mixed the newest The Mars Volta album for Universal Records, working with producer Omar Rodriguez, and assistants Ross Petersen and Claudius Mittendorfer. And, in Studio C, featuring a Neve VRP72, Kurt Rosenwinkel recorded with engineer James Farber for Verve. Aya Takemura assisted. Pianist Manuel Valera also recorded in C, for Fresh Sound with Avatar engineer Anthony Ruotolo and assistant Chad Lupo.
