Pilot Upgrades Studio A, Hosts Shawn Colvin

New York, NY (June 23, 2006)--Pilot Recording has upgraded its Studio A with a Pro Tools HD3 Accel rig with Apogee 192k AD- and DA-16X converters, and a full Aviom Cue system. Pilot's also added several more Pultec and Lang EQs to its outboard collection.

In recent sessions...Shawn Colvin has been recording overdubs and mixing for her upcoming Nonesuch album at Pilot, with producer/mixer John Leventhal and assistant Matt Shane. Levanthal also mixed Roseanne Cash's latest, Black Cadillac at Pilot. Al Kooper stopped by Pilot to film a segment for the documentary, Hammond Heroes, and producer/engineer Will Schillinger has been recording the new album for The New Black. Producer/engineer Joe Blaney recorded basic tracks and overdubs for the band, White Magic, at Pilot, with Shane assisting.

Mix engineer Richard Alderson mixed two albums for Japanese producer Kawa, with Shane assisting; both featuring Dave Matthews and his Manhattan Jazz Orchestra, and Japanese vocalist, Chorito. Schillinger and producer Lincoln Schleifer recorded Bill Kelly's upcoming release in Studio A.

Producer Chris Tarrow and Shane (as engineer) recorded basic tracks and overdubs for an upcoming release by Brooklyn recording artist, Goodbye Girl Friday. Schillinger and Shane have also recorded tango/jazz pianist, Roger Davidson, and his trio featuring David Finck on bass, and Paulo Braga on drums, for an upcoming Sound Brush release, and new tracks by Joseph Baldassare for the Living Theater Series of CDs on his label Kunduru Music, as well as a track with Floyd Lloyd and the Fugees.
