Oakland, CA (May 19, 2006)--Usually the Oakland Firefighters Random Acts of Kindness charity helps others, but recently someone else reached out to give the organization a hand: Zone Music Professional Systems.

Zone Music executives contributed to the Oakland Firefighters Random Acts of Kindness charity by outfitting this firetruck with a new audio system

Random Acts is a charity program that was created by dedicated firefighters from the City of Oakland, California metro fire department, providing a central location where firefighters can request funds and resources to create a Random Act of Kindness when they see people in need in the community. Over time, Random Acts has helped fire and accident survivors, paid funeral expenses for victims' families, purchased appliances for senior citizens, replaced stolen bikes for children, donate computers to schools and more.

Seeing how the program has helped the community, Zone Music stepped in to assist the Random Acts program by doing something it knows well: installing an audio system. "We helped design and install a full audio system on a retired fire engine that will be used to promote the Oakland Random Acts program." said Neville Hormuz, project manager for Zone Music Professional Systems.

The fire truck system consists of a custom roll around Pearson rack mounted in the bed of the truck, a Mackie 1402VLZ Pro mixer, a Stanton S550 shock mount dual CD player, a Monster Power MP2500 power conditioner, a Shure SLX 24/58 wireless system, a Shure SM58 hand held microphone, Middle Atlantic rack drawer, a QSC PLX2400 power amp, and four Yamaha CV115 2-way speakers that are mounted on each corner of the truck. The speakers can be easily un-mounted then put on Ultimate support TS90 speaker stands depending on the needed application.

The audio company is no stranger to charity, it turns out. "Zone Music has a non-profit called Musicians Helping Musicians where we raise money for musicians without insurance in health crisis," said Hormuz. "We are always happy to donate time and energy for a good cause."
